Safety

picoTera's safety solutions are designed to reduce accidents and save lives.

Accident Avoidance System

Featured in:

Struck-by incidents are a common workplace hazard.

13% of workers suffer from Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL)[1], which reduces their situational awareness and puts them at greater risk of injury.

picoTera's accident avoidance system uses GPS and RF to detect potential collisions and alert both drivers and pedestrians.

Compared to visual detection systems, it has the following benefits:

  • Lower cost
  • Notifies both driver and pedestrian
  • No installation needed
  • No camera lens to clean
  • Works in areas with visual blind spots, such as warehouses
  • Works in low light, snow, or foggy conditions

Backup Accident Avoidance

Featured in:

1 in 8 workers suffer from Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL)[1] reducing their directional awareness and makes it harder for them to detect important sounds, such as backup alerts.

Traditional hearing protection devices can block crucial sounds like backup alerts, further diminishing worker safety.

picoTera's picoEar detects backup alerts and notifies pedestrians in danger by playing the alert directly into the user's ear.

By estimating vehicle speed and direction, picoEar provides accurate audio alerts through hearing protection devices, ensuring awareness of potential hazards.

This system even works with vehicles not equipped with picoLink.

Lone Worker

Many industries employ lone workers and must adhere to safety regulations.

picoTera's Lone Worker Check-in System ensures worker safety.

Workers periodically check in using picoLink or the companion app. If a check-in is missed, the system alerts supervisors, who can locate the worker on a map and contact them to ensure their safety.

Worksites can be dangerous. In emergencies, fast and effective communication is crucial.

picoTera's personal emergency system allows workers to initiate a distraction-free emergency call with their supervisor with a simple click.

Supervisors receive visual and audio alerts from both the interface device and picoLink.

For immediate communication, a dedicated emergency channel is available.

Supervisors can locate workers in need using the companion app map or the bright flashing LED on the worker's picoLink.

  1. Press the side button repeatedly to trigger personal emergency
