This privacy policy only applies to the use of our picoTera Companion app for Android and iOS

Information collection and use

We may collect and store the following information:

• Bluetooth Access
  Bluetooth access is required to be able to scan for and connect to the picoTera device.

• GPS Location Data (Android App Only)
  Our Android app will request permission to access your device’s location services. Enabling location services is necessary for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scanning on Android 6.0 and above. With your explicit permission, we will also use your device’s precise location to enable safety features, display your location on the map view within the app, and share this information with your supervisor.

• Microphone Data
  Will be used to record audio samples when reporting Digital Ear errors. It is also used when calibrating the device to detect truck backup alerts. We will not gather or use microphone data without your explicit permission.

• Telephone Access
  Is needed to be able to know when you receive a phone call to send a notification to the connected picoTera device. We will not gather or use your incoming calls at any time.

Third Parties

We will not share any of your information with third parties outside picoTera without your consent except as noted in this policy.

Security

Security of our users’ information is a priority at picoTera. While we take precautions to protect your data, no security measure is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the security of user information.

Accessing User Information

We will not track or gather any user information other than what users provide for registration or feedback purposes.
